We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The grant program provides financial assistance to support agricultural producers in installing conservation practices. It covers up to 75% of the cost for these practices, with a cap of $50,000 per participant for any fiscal year. The program exempts participants from Highly Erodible Land and Wetland Conservation provisions but requires adherence to Adjusted Gross Income provisions of the Food Security Act of 1985. Additionally, it offers higher cost-share rates for historically underserved producers. Key initiatives include the West Virginia High Tunnel Initiative, aimed at extending the growing season for high-value crops in an environmentally safe manner.
