We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program aims to provide affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. It supports the creation or enhancement of facilities that offer critical services to local communities for their orderly development, specifically targeting primarily rural areas with populations of no more than 20,000 residents. The grant caters to a wide range of community facilities, including healthcare, public safety, education, public utilities, and local food systems. Eligible uses of funds include purchasing, constructing, improving essential community facilities, and buying necessary equipment. The grant assistance is offered on a graduated scale based on the community's size and median household income, with the maximum grant coverage ranging from 15 percent to 75 percent of eligible project costs, aiming to benefit smaller communities with lower income most.
