Overview

This program aims at developing essential community facilities in rural areas, enhancing local service delivery and community development. It supports projects like health care, public facilities, community support, public safety, education, utility services, and local food systems in cities, villages, townships, towns, and Federally Recognized Tribal Lands with a population of no more than 20,000. The grant facilitates purchasing, constructing, and improving facilities, including purchasing equipment and covering related expenses. Eligibility for grant assistance is on a sliding scale, prioritizing smaller communities with the lowest median household income, allowing a maximum grant coverage of up to 75% of eligible costs, depending on community size and median household income.
