USDA’s Rural Housing Service offers a variety of programs to build or improve housing and essential community facilities in rural areas.
This grant program aims to provide funding support to eligible public bodies, non-profits, and Federally-recognized tribes for the repair of essential community facilities that were damaged by Presidentially Declared Disasters occurring in CY 2022. The program covers a wide range of states and territories impacted by these disasters, offering up to 75 percent of the total project cost with no specified minimum or maximum award amount. The grants are intended for a broad scope of repair needs across various eligible locations, ensuring communities can recover and rebuild critical infrastructures affected by such events. Applications are accepted on a continual basis until funds are depleted, emphasizing the program's goal to swiftly address and support the repair needs of affected communities.
