From Vermont Arts Council

The Vermont Arts Council's mission is to support artists and communities in Vermont through the integration of art into public spaces. They aim to enhance community pride and identity, foster social connections, and improve the livability and vibrancy of Vermont communities, downtowns, villages, and neighborhoods by promoting the development and installation of site-specific works of public art that reflect the community's vision, values, and creative spirit.

Overview

Arts Operating Grants are aimed at arts organizations offering year-round, high-quality programming and services that align with the mission of advancing arts and creativity in Vermont. The grants support the third outcome of the Arts Council’s Strategic Framework, focusing on building vibrant, creative communities through the efforts of organizations and artists. Ideal candidates for this grant are arts organizations that have a strong, ongoing presence in their community, provide quality programming, and engage in partnerships with civic, non-arts, and/or educational organizations to ensure broad access to the arts and creative experiences for all Vermonters.
