The mission is to create equity by working with those affected and inspiring everyone to end racism and poverty. This organization is committed to combating White Supremacist, sexist, xenophobic, and homophobic actions and language, aiming to replace hatred with love and action, divisiveness with community-building and inclusion, and ignorance with education and support.
The WCGMF Responsive Grant program is designed to offer support to communities in Connecticut that are organizing against racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, Islamophobia, and other systems of oppression. The fund aims to provide immediate support for activities such as gatherings, nonviolent direct action, crisis response, or therapeutic support to address the physical, social, emotional well-being, and safety of communities facing current and emerging threats, trauma, and/or harassment. The grant encourages applications for funding and meeting space to give urgent support to affected communities.
