Overview

The Hazardous Substance Funding through the Ready for Reuse program, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), is designed to support local governments and non-profits in the cleanup of environmental contamination on brownfields. The initiative is financially backed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through Revolving Loan Fund grants. The program provides grants and loans for expenses related to the remediation of contaminations caused by hazardous substances or those mixed with petroleum during the period of the grant or loan agreement.
