Rapid Response Grants

From Alaska Conservation Foundation

Alaska Conservation Foundation envisions an inspiring Alaska that is naturally thriving, biologically and culturally diverse, rich in wildlands, bountiful in terrestrial and marine life, sustainable in its economic development, and thoughtfully protected—forever. The Foundation protects Alaska’s natural environment and the diverse cultures and ways of life it sustains by promoting conservation philanthropy and strategically directing resources to conservation leaders, organizations, and initiatives.

Type of Support

Overview

The Alaska Conservation Foundation’s Rapid Response grants aim to support direct conservation action in order to address unforeseen opportunities or threats of statewide or national significance. These actions lead to more robust environmental policy and an enduring conservation impact. The grants focus on activities that lead to the reduction of destructive environmental activities, the establishment of more favorable environmental laws and policies, stronger regulation and enforcement of these laws, enhanced environmental protections, and the promotion of more sustainable economic development or activities. Letters of Inquiry for these grants can be submitted on an ongoing basis through ACF’s online application system.
