Amon G. Carter Foundation, established in 1945 by Amon G. Carter and Nenetta Burton Carter, is a Texas non-profit corporation and 501(c) (3) exempt private foundation. Its mission is to support work in art and culture, civic and public affairs, education, health, and human services, aiming to enhance community life and well-being.
The grant program by the Amon G. Carter Foundation focuses on the arts, education, health and medical services, human and social services, programs benefiting youth and elderly, and civic and community endeavors that enhance the quality of life. The Foundation accepts grant requests throughout the year and conducts three board meetings annually—in February, May, and November—to consider these requests, without specific submission deadlines.
