Specifically, the Foundation has supported early research in areas like optogenetics, deep brain stimulation for treatment-resistant depression, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and rapid-acting antidepressants. Additionally, the foundation awards the Colvin Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Mood Disorders research, which includes a $50,000 award and recognition at an annual awards dinner. This prize supports significant advancements in mood disorder research, honoring innovative contributions to the field.
