Overview

The Media Justice Fund at the Bread & Roses Community Fund awards $20,000 grants to organizations that use community organizing to influence changes in policies or practices. This grant program prioritizes projects that either aim to alter the production, licensing, or distribution of media or leverage media as a strategic tool in broader social change initiatives, including setting and achieving specific short- and long-term goals. Applicants must choose between these two focus areas, with at least 7 grants available in each category. Grants are available for periods of 12 or 24 months.

  • Leadership primarily composed of people most affected by the issue being addressed
