To connect people to priorities they care about and increase charitable giving to advance the quality of life for all in our communities. The mission includes connecting donors to philanthropic organizations and projects, promoting charitable giving to enrich community life, helping nonprofits communicate their missions, building awareness of philanthropic opportunities, making grants to improve everyday lives, and establishing endowments for long-term community sustainability.
The Opportunity Grants Program offers small grants to eligible organizations in the communities served by the Central Louisiana Community Foundation. Grants range from $250 to $2,000. The program focuses on different philanthropic areas each quarter: 1) Literacy, 2) Arts & Culture, 3) Historic or Environmental Preservation, and 4) Community Development. The broad goal is to address community needs through these targeted areas.
