Type of Support

Overview

The grant program by the Trafigura Foundation focuses on achieving positive socio-economic change for people and communities. Specifically, it supports projects that promote Fair and Sustainable Employment and Clean and Safe Supply Chains. The foundation looks for projects that encourage community self-responsibility, reach their full potential, and demonstrate lasting impact. Preference is given to initiatives that strengthen local capabilities, show substantial ownership, and articulate a vision to increase beneficiary autonomy. In Fair and Sustainable Employment, the foundation targets the creation of quality job opportunities for marginalized groups and supports social entrepreneurs with innovative solutions for social challenges. For Clean and Safe Supply Chains, the focus is on mitigating environmental and social issues within supply chains, improving community livelihoods through better health, education, and economic opportunities, while ensuring the safety and environmental integrity of these processes.
