The Clarinda Foundation is dedicated to nourishing a healthy and vital community in the greater Clarinda area for present and future generations. It aims to encourage private giving for the public good, build and maintain endowments to meet changing community needs, serve as a catalyst and resource for those needs, and provide flexible tax-exempt donation options for donors with varied interests and giving capacities.
The grant program seeks projects that tackle significant community issues through innovative, creative, and practical proposals that leverage community strengths. Ideal projects will also develop community leadership, involve community members in planning and execution, ensure sustainability post-funding, and impact a significant number of residents through capital projects. Areas of interest for funding include Arts/Culture/Humanities, Community Betterment, Education, Health/Human Services, and Recreation/Environment.
