The Coastal Community Foundation focuses on fostering communities where all individuals have access to the resources and opportunities necessary to thrive. By channeling support to grassroots and nonprofit organizations, the Foundation aims to build strong, healthy families and neighborhoods. Their commitment extends across various programs to enhance community development, leadership, and engagement.
The Southern Lowcountry Grants aim to support organizations operating in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties through competitive grant programs. These grants welcome applications for general operating support unless specified otherwise. The Beaufort Fund, established in 1998 and the largest grantmaking program in the Southern Lowcountry, distributes funds across the mentioned counties, supporting small, large, and first-time applicants through a structured approach to match organizations with similar fiscal sizes, life stages, and impacts. The grants are divided into three categories: Genesis Grant, for supporting strategic growth or innovative community needs solutions, with up to $10,000 available; Operational Grant, for past applicants of The Beaufort Fund, offering up to $25,000; and First-Time Grant, for newcomers or those not funded in the past five years, with up to $15,000 available.
