It’s our mission to manage and conserve Colorado’s natural resources for the benefit of people today – and tomorrow. That means we have to balance development with conservation so the state we all love provides similar opportunities for our children and their children. Our diverse agencies work together to meet the recreational and resource needs of the public.
The Water Supply Reserve Fund (WSRF) Program offers grants and loans to help eligible Colorado water users address critical water supply challenges. It supports various water-related activities, including technical assistance for permitting, feasibility studies, and environmental compliance; studies or analysis of water needs and projects; design of structural projects or activities; infrastructure maintenance or replacement; and initiatives that promote education, outreach, and innovation consistent with the Colorado Water Plan. Approval from at least one of Colorado's nine basin roundtables is required before submitting an application. Funding decisions are made by CWCB, and grants may be supplemented with low-interest loans to fulfill financial needs.
