Type of Support

Overview

The Land Acquisition Grants are designed to assist local governments, First Nations communities, and non-profit organizations in acquiring land, buildings, or land-based infrastructure for public purposes. The program emphasizes equitable fund distribution across different communities, organizations, and project types. Projects requesting significant funding must demonstrate notable community benefit, widespread support or partnerships, and substantial funding from other sources. Applicants are required to contact the Trust to discuss their projects before being invited to apply, with a recommendation to allow for an eight-week window from application to the proposed project start date.
