The Community Foundation for the CSRA aims to enhance the quality of life for residents of Augusta and its surrounding communities, including Richmond, Columbia, McDuffie, and Burke counties in Georgia, as well as Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina. For over 25 years, they have connected the philanthropic spirit of community members with local nonprofits and community initiatives, grounded in a collective desire to promote regional well-being.

Review Criteria

Our funding does not cover applications aimed at supporting:

  • Individual grants
  • Capital campaigns
  • Deficit refinancing and settling debts
  • Endowment funds
  • Political entities or campaign efforts
  • Activities promoting political influence or election interference
  • Initiatives mandating involvement in religious ceremonies or educational programming as a prerequisite for service access
  • Specific fundraising events or celebratory occasions
  • Marketing projects and personal research, except when directly related to the proposed program in your application
  • Basic operational costs for both public and private primary, secondary, and higher education institutions
  • Ventures typically financed by federal, state, or local government bodies
  • Scholarship schemes, although exceptions exist for summer camp or after-school program scholarships
  • Projects already concluded or set to conclude within the current calendar year
