The Covenant Foundation aims to enrich Jewish education across North America in every denomination and setting. It celebrates and supports outstanding Jewish educators and innovative educational programs, intending to bolster Jewish identity, continuity, and heritage. The Foundation embraces those who bring creativity and passion to foster change and progress in Jewish education, encouraging unsolicited inquiries and proposals.
The Covenant Foundation offers grants to invigorate Jewish education through innovative and financially sustainable methods. These grants are open to Jewish schools, community organizations, and various institutional settings, supporting projects that develop and implement significant educational strategies potentially beneficial in diverse environments. Covenant Grants focus on both bringing new ideas to life (Ignition Grants) and scaling effective existing programs (Signature Grants). Ignition Grants, capped at $20,000 for a year, are for groundbreaking projects in their nascent stages, while Signature Grants, usually not exceeding $150,000 over three years, fund the expansion of successful initiatives. The Foundation promotes the dissemination of effective educational practices and requires a single Letter of Inquiry per application.
