Social Justice Grants Initiative - Community Grants

The mission of the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation is to support community well-being by awarding grants in areas such as environmental education and stewardship. They aim to improve the environment and educate the community about environmental science.

Type of Support

Overview

The Social Justice Grants Initiative was designed to address the root causes of systemic racism affecting Black/African Americans within our service area, including racial injustice, health disparities, voter suppression, educational access, environmental injustice, and law and criminal justice reform. The initiative's goals were to support projects or programs that advance social justice, promote equity of opportunity, and foster diversity and inclusiveness. Community Grants were also part of this initiative, awarded to community-based programs addressing localized needs with the potential for significant impact.
