The Gould Charitable Foundation's mission is to assist organizations in improving the communities where Mr. Gould lived and worked--the greater metropolitan areas of Boston and Kansas City. It aims to make grants to fund projects at 501(c)(3) charitable organizations whose vision and goals are aligned with the foundation's areas of interest.
The Gould Charitable Foundation Grant focuses on funding programs in elder services, environmental stewardship, health care, preservation of personal rights, training for the disadvantaged, welfare and education of children, and women's issues. The foundation prioritizes innovative projects over ongoing maintenance or capital campaigns and prefers moderately-sized projects where its contribution can significantly impact the project's budget. Priority is given to projects with high leveraging potential, in terms of expansion and/or replication, and those that provide ongoing value past the grant year.
