The Community Foundation's mission is to support high-impact nonprofits serving Prince George’s County's low-income residents, addressing urgent community needs, advancing economic justice, and working to close the racial/ethnic wealth gap. This includes empowering the nonprofit community and residents to overcome challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic and future hurdles through targeted community support.
The grant program focuses on demonstration projects that show proof of concept and determine scalability potential. These projects should involve collaborations of two or more partner organizations working in new and targeted ways. The goal is to implement economic mobility models that increase strategic economic participation and build community wealth, particularly for populations and communities facing the greatest economic and health disparities. Grant applicants are encouraged to request the funding necessary to support their project.
