Type of Support

Overview

The Hampton Roads Community Foundation provides Planning Grants for coalitions of nonprofit organizations and other appropriate agencies. These grants, offering up to $25,000 for one year, support the exploration and planning phases of collaborative projects aimed at addressing identified community issues. Fundable activities include staff oversight, planning time, site visits to review models and best practices, and facilitators. The goal is to foster initiatives that solve needs within the community or region when fully implemented. Although receiving a planning grant does not guarantee further implementation funding, the areas of focus for 2022 include collaborative organizational restructuring and mergers, as well as addressing mental/behavioral health issues.
