The Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) aims to preserve the sport of hunting through education, conservation, and the promotion of hunting heritage. It supports these goals by providing financial assistance to projects and organizations that align with its objectives. HSCF champions hunter-funded conservation initiatives, which are crucial for maintaining wildlife populations and habitats against threats like species overpopulation and habitat destruction. Since its inception, HSCF has contributed over $4 million towards youth education, shooting sports, and various conservation efforts worldwide.
The HSCF Grants Program focuses on funding projects and organizations that support conservation, education, and the promotion of hunting heritage, in line with HSCF's mission. This includes, but is not limited to, research, sustainability efforts, species propagation, wildlife management, combating urban sprawl, anti-poaching measures, youth shooting sports, and more. Grant requests are evaluated monthly by the HSCF Grants Committee and Board of Directors, ensuring that each funded project effectively contributes to the overarching goal of preserving hunting through various supportive and protective measures.
