The mission of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City is to promote tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (repairing the world) by being an advocate for planned giving and a resource for personalized charitable funds for the community.
The Earl J. and Leona K. Tranin Special Fund supports projects in cultural arts, community relations, and education, predominantly within the Jewish community, but not exclusively. This grant focuses on initiatives within the Greater Kansas City area. Applications are reviewed two to three times a year, accepting submissions on a rolling basis.
