The objective of the John Sage Foundation (JSF) is to promote and enhance a harmonious relationship between people and the natural environment.

Type of Support

Overview

The John Sage Foundation is dedicated to supporting a variety of projects with the overarching goal of fostering a better relationship between humanity and the natural world. They are open to funding a wide range of efforts but can concentrate their financial support on a single organization during any given grant cycle if deemed necessary. The foundation has shown flexibility in the scale of projects funded, ranging from minor initiatives requiring a few hundred dollars to substantial endeavors needing several thousand dollars. Notably, JSF has supported projects involving land acquisition, site evaluations, water testing programs, environmental education (including programs, planning, and scholarships), the development of environmental centers and libraries, the construction of boardwalks in nature preserves, community garden programs, and the acquisition of equipment for natural history museums.
