The Kirkpatrick Family Fund's mission, inspired by John E. and Eleanor B. Kirkpatrick alongside their lineage, is to perpetuate their vision of enhancing the cultural and service community in central Oklahoma. This enduring legacy aims to foster a robust cultural landscape, promote health and well-being, and support the community through strategic philanthropy. The Fund operates with a commitment to nurturing excellence in programming, encouraging broad community participation, and fostering quality learning opportunities for both youth and adults.
The Kirkpatrick Family Fund offers grants to support non-profit organizations contributing to the cultural, educational, and overall well-being of the community in central Oklahoma. The grant program focuses on endowment building for organizations, with a preference for those initiating public campaigns to engage and expand donor participation. Grants are available in two categories: Established Charitable Organization Endowment Fund, where organizations must raise $3 for every $1 contributed by the fund for existing Endowments at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, and New Charitable Organization Endowment Fund, offering a grant for organizations approved to establish a new Endowment. The fund is interested in supporting areas such as Arts & Humanities, Children, Youth, & Families, Community Development, Education, the Environment, Health, and Social Services, emphasizing programs that provide access to arts, nurture family health, foster community development, invest in education, beautify the environment, improve health access, and support self-reliance through social services.
