Review Criteria

The Lenawee Community Foundation prioritizes the allocation of its funds to initiatives that fulfill the following criteria:

  • Target recognized, urgent needs within the community.
  • Aim to create enduring, beneficial shifts in Lenawee County's standard of living.
  • Maximize resource utilization via collaborative financing, grant matching, or the pooling of various assets.
  • Exhibit innovation and creativity.
  • Are designed to remain viable without the necessity of ongoing financial support from the Foundation.
  • Enhance the operational efficiency or effectiveness of nonprofit organizations.
  • Promote united efforts and partnership among charitable entities while avoiding service redundancies.
  • Foster the spirit of volunteerism and encourage active participation in civic or community activities.
