The Morgan Family Foundation seeks a just society in which all individuals have ample opportunities to thrive and where outcomes are not determined by one’s heritage, physical characteristics, beliefs, residence, or inclusion in any particular group.
The grant program offered by the Foundation covers a wide range of types, including Program, Project, Capital, Start-Up, and Operating Grants. It seeks to support innovative initiatives, capacity building, and advocacy activities that align with its themes—namely social equity in St. Cloud, global warming throughout Minnesota, and end of life issues within the state. The Foundation prioritizes efforts that aim to improve the management and governance of charitable organizations, public education on pertinent issues, research, and nonpartisan election-related activities. Specifically, with regards to social equity, the focus is on reducing disparities for disadvantaged communities in St. Cloud, fostering positive changes in attitudes, practices, and policies for equitable outcomes, and supporting projects that promote inclusivity and build healthy community relationships.
