The Morgan Family Foundation seeks a just society in which all individuals have ample opportunities to thrive and where outcomes are not determined by one’s heritage, physical characteristics, beliefs, residence, or inclusion in any particular group.
The grant program offered by the Foundation is designed to support a wide range of needs within charitable organizations, including innovative program initiatives, short-term projects, capital requests, start-up or operating needs, and capacity building. The overarching goal is to foster social equity in St. Cloud, Minnesota, by addressing disparities and promoting positive change in attitudes, practices, and policies. Specifically, the Foundation is interested in reducing unfair disparities for disadvantaged communities and at-risk populations in various sectors, including race, class, religion, gender, age, immigrant status, sexual orientation, ability, and impacts related to COVID-19. The Foundation supports projects that prepare marginalized individuals for community leadership, build healthy intergroup relationships, and initiate collaborative projects for social equity advancement. Additionally, while it cannot engage in lobbying, the Foundation is open to funding advocacy activities that educate and inform public policy and opinion in nonpartisan ways.
