The Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making, and providing leadership on key community issues.

Overview

The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation invites mini-grant applications for projects addressing the needs of youth in Isabella County. These projects can involve personal development programs (such as art, music, and fitness), after-school recreation or social activities, job development and opportunities, leadership activities, and volunteer programs. Funding priority is given to projects that tackle critical issues identified by the YAC, including bullying, stress and school pressure, depression, suicide, loss, alcohol and drug abuse, self-esteem, respect, and family issues.

Political campaigns or attempts to influence the legislature other than through nonpartisan analysis
Religious organizations promoting specific teachings (though projects meeting a general need are considered)
Individuals (except for scholarships).
