    The National Grid Foundation focuses on improving the quality of life within its grant-making area by supporting educational opportunities and environmental stewardship. In education, the foundation supports classroom-based education for K-12 students, innovative scholarship and university partnerships for underserved communities, and skills training for people of all ages. In terms of the environment, the foundation seeks to fund projects that sustain natural resources, educate and inspire young people about environmental preservation, and preserve open spaces for future generations. The grant program is designed for 501c3 non-profit organizations, prioritizing projects that support classroom education, advance underserved communities, build skills training, enhance community economic strength, encourage environmental stewardship, and support sustainability and preservation of natural resources.
