Our mission is to promote New York State agriculture and its high-quality and diverse products, foster agricultural environmental stewardship, and safeguard the state’s food supply, land, and livestock to ensure the viability and growth of New York’s agriculture industries.
The grant program aims to support counties and municipalities in developing agricultural and farmland protection plans. It offers financial assistance, with counties eligible for up to $50,000 or 50% of total project costs, whichever is less, to foster the sustainability and preservation of agricultural lands.
