Overview

The grant program from the Old National Bank Foundation is designed to support innovative programs that significantly enhance the quality of life within communities in their service areas. The program focuses on strategic initiatives such as Affordable Housing, Economic Development, Workforce Development, Financial Education, and Educational Achievement. Priority is given to programs benefiting low- to moderate-income populations/communities and small businesses. There is a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, aiming to support education, economic empowerment, mentorship, and inclusion for underrepresented people and communities. The funding priorities target measurable outcomes in affordable housing (like homeownership opportunities and neighborhood revitalization), economic development (such as business growth and community resource strengthening), financial education (including financial literacy training), workforce development (with a focus on apprenticeship and employment), and education achievement (improving readiness and access to education).

Review Criteria

Priority is awarded to entities that have not benefited substantially from Old National's sponsorship in the same year they apply for a Foundation grant. Applicants may seek funding annually, following the completion of payments and reports, but those who have not received grants in the past two years will be favored. The Foundation prefers to support endeavors that closely align with its areas of interest, tackle community needs within its operational regions tied to those interests, boast diverse financial backing, present a tailored evaluation strategy for the proposed project, and show clear, quantifiable objectives and results.
