Type of Support

Overview

The PLTW Computer Science grant program, supported by the Duke Energy Foundation, aims to empower students in grades 9-12 by enabling them to become creators of technology rather than just consumers. The program offers interdisciplinary courses that present students with real-world challenges, fostering skills in computational thinking, coding, and effective communication. Through this initiative, grants are provided to schools looking to start or expand their PLTW Computer Science programs, focusing on equipping students with in-demand knowledge and skills applicable across various career paths. The program includes a commitment of $20,000 in funds, distributed over two years, to support the academic growth and technological proficiency of high school students.
