The Pennsylvania Education Equity Project aims to support the implementation and effectiveness of culturally relevant and sustaining education (CRSE) to ensure equitable outcomes for all students by dismantling systemic and institutional barriers. In response to Pennsylvania's mandate for CRSE competencies in educator training, the project seeks to fund research that translates CRSE policy into effective practices. Research priorities include exploring the awareness and understanding of CRSE competencies among various stakeholders, evaluating how CRSE is integrated into curricula and professional development, and assessing the impact of CRSE training on educator practices. The project encourages diverse methodologies and multidisciplinary approaches, emphasizing the importance of research that benefits practical application in education policy and practice. Grants of up to $30,000 will support research efforts focusing on actionable evidence to inform and improve education equity in Pennsylvania.
