The Foundation was formed with the purposes of sharing Richmond County Savings Bank's financial success with the community, enabling community participation in the bank's growth and profitability. RCSF aims to enhance the quality of life in the communities it serves by supporting charitable organizations in educational, cultural, and health and human services sectors.

Type of Support

Overview

Richmond County Savings Foundation prioritizes grants for nonprofit organizations requesting more than $5,000, focusing on three main areas: Signature Projects (by invitation only for distinctive requests), Capital Initiatives (up to $50,000 for projects like construction and renovations that meet certain conditions), and Programmatic Funding (up to $25,000 for initiatives in human services, public benefit, health, education, environment, arts & culture). General support grants of up to $10,000 are reviewed year-round.

  • In good standing and current on all required federal and state filings
  • Provide programs and services in the Foundation’s communities
  • Groups receiving two consecutive year grants of more than $25,000 are prohibited from applying in the third year

Ineligibility

Organizations that have received a grant over $25,000 within the last 15 months
Organizations within the term of a multi-year grant commitment from the Foundation
Organizations that received a grant over $10,000 from the Foundation and failed to issue a Final Report
Organizations with a significant deficit on their financial statements.
