The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) aims to enhance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) by supporting high-quality, relevant innovative research. It emphasizes the importance of diversity in the scientific community as a crucial component for advancing autism science.
The Travel Support for Mathematicians program, under the Simons Foundation’s Mathematics and Physical Sciences division, is designed to bolster collaboration within the field of mathematics. The program financially supports travel and related expenses to foster substantial increase in collaborative contacts amongst proficient, active mathematicians in the United States. The grants are awarded based on the quality and significance of applicants’ previous research and the expected impact that the travel support will have on their future research endeavors. Beneficiaries might include the applicants themselves as well as their graduate students and/or postdoctoral fellows. Additionally, funds are allocated to enhance the research atmosphere within the PI’s department, supporting activities such as colloquia, seminars, and departmental events.
