Type of Support

Overview

The Stratton Foundation Grant Program supports programs that directly address poverty challenges impacting children's well-being, health, and education in southern Vermont. The foundation prioritizes projects within four major focus areas: Food and Hunger, Health and Dental Health, Basic Necessities, and Education to foster economic independence. Ideal initiatives should cater to the well-being, health and hygiene, school readiness, and competency development of disadvantaged children. The Foundation evaluates the geographical balance, community needs, and resource distribution while considering new or existing projects capable of demonstrating sustainability through sound administrative and financial management. Grants vary in amount, with reporting requirements scaling according to the awarded sum, ranging from end-of-program evaluations for grants up to $5,000, to quarterly progress evaluations for grants over $10,001.
