The T.L.L. Temple Foundation focuses on building a thriving East Texas by working alongside rural communities to alleviate poverty, creating access and opportunities for all. It prioritizes breaking the cycle of poverty and supports residents and communities that most lack access to opportunities they need to succeed.
The T.L.L. Temple Foundation grants support for a broad range of areas including education, economic development and community revitalization, health, human services, arts and culture, and conservation and the environment. The main goals are to improve residents' health by addressing challenges such as obesity, physical inactivity, diabetes, and lack of access to healthcare; increase educational attainment to break the cycle of poverty and improve economic and employment opportunities; revitalize economically challenged communities by fostering vibrant, robust regional economies; ensure basic needs are met for the most vulnerable; enrich lives through arts and culture; and conserve and protect natural resources for the health and well-being of the region. Funding is awarded for purposes such as general operating support, project support, capital improvements, and organizational development, with size and duration matched to the applicant's impact and needs.
