To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
The Community Outdoor Outreach Program (CO-OP) grant supports tax-exempt organizations in engaging under-served populations in outdoor recreation, conservation, and environmental education activities aligned with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's mission. It targets females, physically/mentally challenged individuals, ethnic minorities, low-income families, and youth, reinforcing the importance of inclusivity in nature-related activities. Grants range from $5,000 to $70,000, functioning on a reimbursement basis to cover eligible expenses incurred by the recipients in fulfilling the program's objectives.
