Since 2002, The TK Foundation has aimed at improving the maritime realm and the lives of disadvantaged youth. Through over $46 million in grants, it supports non-profit organizations and projects, enhancing opportunities for youth in education, training, and life skills towards self-sufficiency.
The TK Foundation’s Youth Development Grant Program focuses on enabling disadvantaged youth to maximize their capabilities towards self-sufficient futures. This commitment is facilitated through supporting programs that improve educational achievements and prepare youths for workforce success, among other supportive actions. The grant emphasizes innovative solutions in education, job training, support services, and leadership skills development. It targets disadvantaged and motivated youths aged 15 to 24, aiming to address and overcome barriers to success, promoting equity, security, and human dignity. These programs are run in three-year cycles in South Africa, The Bahamas, Canada, and The United States, prioritizing effective, documented outcomes in youth development.
