Overview

This grant program aims to assist eligible communities in preparing for or recovering from emergencies that threaten the availability of safe, reliable drinking water. It supports a range of causes including drought, flood, earthquake, tornado or hurricane, disease outbreak, chemical spills, or other disasters. Specific funding can be used for water transmission line grants up to $150,000 and water source grants up to $1,000,000. These funds may be allocated towards constructing or repairing water infrastructure or related maintenance activities. Applications are accepted year-round and can be submitted online or through local RD offices.
