Overview

The grant program aims to support rural households and businesses by funding the development of clean and reliable drinking water systems, efficient sewage disposal, solid waste disposal, and appropriate storm water drainage. The program is designed to finance a wide range of activities, including the construction, acquisition, or improvement of infrastructure related to water sourcing, treatment, storage, and distribution; sewage collection, transmission, treatment, and disposal; and solid waste and storm water management systems. Eligible uses of funds also extend to cover necessary related activities such as legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, equipment, and some operational costs, ensuring that communities have access to vital services critical for their health, environmental safety, and economic prosperity.
