Overview

The Competitive Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 AmeriCorps State and National Grants focus on engaging AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions and practices to strengthen communities. These grants are awarded to eligible organizations that propose using AmeriCorps members to address community improvement needs. Funding priorities include partnering with communities to alleviate poverty and advance racial equity, enhancing the experience for AmeriCorps members and volunteers, uniting Americans in service, effectively stewarding federal resources, and making AmeriCorps an equitable workplace. AmeriCorps aims to invest in partnerships with non-profit, faith-based, Tribal organizations, and State Service Commissions to address critical issues such as public health, climate and the environment, education, and economic opportunity. Investments will particularly focus on communities facing racial inequality and poverty to enable widespread community strengthening through service.
