The Wabash Valley Community Foundation aims to promote community betterment and improve the quality of life in the Wabash Valley through leadership, resource mobilization, and grantmaking.
The Community Foundation offers an Urgent Grants program for Vigo County organizations with a strong financial stewardship and success record in community service. This one-time grant, up to $2,000, is intended for sudden, critical operational needs resulting from unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, theft or damage to crucial equipment, or any accidental occurrences disrupting their operation. Unlike regular grants, these urgent grants are reviewed on an as-needed basis without the typical grant cycle deadlines. Examples of eligible requests include damages from natural or accidental disasters, theft or damage affecting core program operations, unexpected events leading to facility inaccessibility, and failure of equipment crucial to service delivery.
