The Fort Lupton Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Weld Community Foundation, is dedicated to serving the people of the greater Fort Lupton community, aiming to meet its greatest needs.

Overview

The Littler Youth Fund Grants are aimed at youth programs/projects in Weld County that demonstrate a clear benefit to the youth (defined as birth to 18 years old), address unmet community needs, exhibit measurable outcomes, are well-planned for addressing a specific community issue/need, have a strong base of support, and are led by committed, skilled leadership with qualified staff.

  • An organization may only receive one Littler Youth Fund grant per year, including program/project and operating grants.

Ineligibility

Individuals applying for annual campaigns
Special event fundraisers or sponsorships
Purchase of tickets for benefits, courtesy advertising
Activities taking place before grant decisions are made
Capital requests (except for items such as equipment which significantly increase an organization’s capacity and impact)
Trips for schools or clubs
Individuals
Application for the same project less than one year apart
Transportation
After-prom parties
Scholarships or tuition assistance to private educational institutions.

Review Criteria

The Community Foundation prioritizes initiatives that align with any of the criteria listed below:

  • Enhance the effective utilization of community resources through improved coordination, collaboration, and shared efforts among entities, while minimizing service redundancies within the community.
  • Pilot or showcase innovative methods and strategies aimed at addressing significant issues within the community.
  • Encourage and foster volunteer engagement and active participation in community activities.
  • Leverage and augment the inherent strengths and resources of the local community.
  • Launch sustainable projects designed to evolve and increase in impact over time.
