The Foundation is devoting significant resources toward investments in two critical focus areas for our work in Forsyth County: Building an Inclusive Economy and Advancing Equity in Education.
The Capital Improvement Grants program is designed to support time-limited projects that allow Forsyth County nonprofits to acquire, upgrade, and maintain physical assets, which can include property, buildings, technology, or equipment. The aim is to foster an environment where organizations can enhance their service delivery through better facilities or equipment. Specific areas of funding include renovations, upgrades, repairs of existing facilities, acquisition of new facilities, major material goods such as equipment, vehicles, and furniture, as well as technology, software, beautification projects, and supplies. Organizations are limited to one funded Capital Improvement Grant at a time but may have concurrent funding from other grant types offered by the foundation. A waiting period of three years is required before submitting an additional request for Capital funding after receiving a grant.
