The Alzheimer’s Association aims to lead the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
The Alzheimer's Association Research Grant - New to the Field (AARG-NTF) program is designed to support investigators who are entering the field of Alzheimer’s and dementia research, specifically targeting those new to the neurodegeneration research domain including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Lewy body dementia, etc. This grant aims to encourage researchers with unique expertise from other disciplines to apply their knowledge to Alzheimer’s and dementia research, offering them funding to establish their research paths, develop hypotheses, and lay the groundwork for future extensive research proposals. The program seeks to increase the number of scientists from underrepresented groups in this research area. Funding up to $200,000 for a three-year project (with adjustments for shorter projects) is provided, with indirect costs capped at 10% of total direct costs.
