The Clean Energy Access Grant Account offers grants to Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Tribal organizations designed to enhance access to and adoption of clean energy programs within their communities. This grant aims to develop equity initiatives and clean energy access opportunities that align with and expand upon existing CPUC programs. Funded areas include support for the Microgrid Incentive Program (MIP), the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP), and the Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH) Initiative. Activities eligible for grant funding encompass community engagement, marketing, outreach, enrollment support, resource mapping, project design, capacity building, workforce development training, coordination with existing program administrators, and application and implementation technical assistance. This initiative seeks to close the gap in clean energy access, providing community outreach, increasing enrollment in clean energy programs, improving training and job opportunities, and facilitating clean energy project development with technical and financial support.
