Our mission centers on improving the oral health of all through grantmaking, research, health improvement programs, policy and advocacy, education, dental benefits, and innovation advancements. Essential to our mission is collaborating and partnering with grassroots and community-based organizations representing those most directly impacted by oral health inequities, such as racial and ethnic minorities, rural communities, and older adults.

Overview

The Veteran Oral Health: Expanding Access and Equity Request for Proposals (Veteran Oral Health RFP) by CareQuest Institute is designed to support projects targeting systemic barriers to oral health for veterans. This grant program will award funding to 10 projects, each potentially receiving up to $125,000, to help improve access and equity in oral health care for veterans.

Review Criteria

CareQuest Institute gives preference to applications that demonstrate a genuine dedication to actively involving veterans at every stage, from planning through execution, of their proposed initiative. Successful and relevant projects are expected to be spearheaded by or in partnership with representatives who are part of, rather than acting for, the veteran community.
